Soso was circulating in Tripoli for months. She was sick, skeletal and for months she was photographed in various parts of the city by citizens, who made constant appeals to the municipality for the dog.
However, no one in charge ever got involved, so the dog continued to roam around, looking for food in the garbage and getting sicker and sicker.
Soso is a very good, very sweet, clean, obedient, loving and very patient dog. As long as she stayed in the veterinary clinic she was impeccable. She did her treatment patiently, she never bothered and was not even heard, she was spotless and waited for her walk always to go to the toilet.
Now she has come to the shelter, where she continues to be impeccable. She goes out for a walk almost every week with the volunteers and it's perfect. She does not pull on the leash, she is obedient and magnificent. Out in town she is a little more hesitant, but she goes for a walk comfortably, goes to the toilet, and each time she is more comfortable and much more cooperative.
She has completed her treatment for leishmaniasis and is ready for her forever home.
It's as if nature said, "You can't be so perfect, and beautiful and good and sociable and loving. I'm going to give you a problem so you have a flaw, like everybody has."
And just like that, little by little, something started eating into Savvas' nose.
This wonderful little boy came to us to have a better life than the one he had in the first years of his life.
The problem in his nose seems to be due to an autoimmune disease, for which the correct treatment was not followed from the beginning by his previous owners.
He started treatment with cortisone and antibiotics and seems to respond very well. His nose, although it will never fully recover, has started to pull out some healthy tissue, and it looks much better.
In absolutely nothing does this affect him, because he is an incredibly good dog. He's good at the car, good at the doctor, good at walking, good at all people and other dogs.
