CHICKY

CHICKY

He is gorgeous. He's like an alpine animal that you can imagine in snow and mountains.

Although in very thick snow he'd probably sink in, as it is short fro a sheepdog. So Chicky's colors and fur are those of an alpine sheepdog, but in medium size.

He is an incredibly humen centered young dog, who loves attention, human company and enjoys being petted.  You can your hands in this fur and stay there for hours, and he will never be bored. He is looking for home and family.

He has so much love to give, so much that he always has a surplus, and no matter how much we accept his love, he always has more.

CAMELIA

CAMELIA

There are some dogs like her that look like they're made of ether. They are flying instead of walking, as if they are born for an airy freedom, as if they are clouds. Camellia is something like honey made of air, and as she circulates around us, we sit and gaze at her for hours. She's gorgeous. And in her glossy coat, in her amazing ears and in her wet eyes, a harsh and tragic past is barely visible, as if it passed her by without touching her. She came from the public pound house of Sparta, with starvation and nothing else. She was and is very healthy, and now she has begun to approach her normal weight. She is ready for her forever home.

Van Dam

Van Dam

Van Dam and her two male siblings, Jean and Claude, came to the shelter when they were just a week old, and they grew up with us.

She has been reserved three times for adoption, and has been canceled ALL three, before she even goes home, for various reasons that have nothing to do with the dog. Every time an adoption is canceled, until she is promoted again, Van Dame loses a month, resulting in her growing. She was 4 months old when we expected her to go home soon, then she was five, then seven.

For such a dog, this is a pity. The girl is a member of a large family. Nine puppies were in total, seven have been adopted and are doing great.

The girl is a luscious creature, cheerful, sociable, and is incredibly trainable. She goes on Saturdays with volunteers and other dogs to a training center, and is excellent, incredibly intelligent, and learns very quickly. And She is also gorgeous.

We do not want such a dog to grow up in the shelter. We don't want any dog to grow up here, but in her case there is honestly no reason. She is very young, she is gorgeous, she is a good dog, and she is ready for her forever home.

PORSCHE

PORSCHE

Porsche was found with her feet burned by the fires in Varibobi in the summer of 21. We thought that someone would definitely look for such a an amazing dog, but no one did

Now she has recovered, the wounds have healed, and only some spots on her feet have remain without hair.

The impressive thing about this dog, however, is none of the above, it is its character. Porsche is cool, with all that that might mean for a dog. She loves to sit like a diva in the middle of the courtyard, to sunbathe, and to watch everything around her with this stoic gaze.

She is a unique dog. Hours might go by by without you realizing she even exists, and suddenly for a moment, you turn around and look at it, and you stay there staring for a few minutes.

DAISY

DAISY

Daisy is now unfolding her character, and she's probably now starting to learn herself.

She has the curiosity, the cheeckiness and all the grace of the very small dog, and as she runs and moves around you, you want to catch her and squeeze her. But as soon as she realizes that you want to catch her, she gets away. But she never goes too far. She stays around there, around your feet, around your field of vision, so to make you want to squeeze her even more because she plays hard to get.

She is very intelligent, and can do everything for food (and learn everything). She came to the shelter with her three babies, and since then she has been wandering around like a mascot, and she rejoices so much and so discreetly and gracefully that we can't get enough of looking at her.

She needs someone who will give her some time and some space to trust. She is almost ready to believe that people are good. Maybe inside her she already believes, she just doesn't show it yet.

MANTO

MANTO

Manto lived in one of the cages in the public pound of Sparta. Apart from the filth, the disease and the starvation that had affected her to the extent that she barely walked the first days, the most impressive of all is how she managed to survive without being simply trampled.

She is incredibly tiny, like a hound that someone somehow shrunk. She weighs as much as a feather and has two huge, wet eyes, that she keeps as open as possible at all times, as if she is trying to satiate the comfort, the cleanliness and the care.

She is a unique creature, ethereal, like a little fairy.

She has now recovered, she walks with pride, and she turns around to the shelter with a curiosity and a zest. You want o stand by and enjoy looking at her and at the same time you want to hold her in your arms forever.

She is a little thief, and lives stealing food whenever she can. And she loves other dogs, she hangs out with them and usually gives them love bites in their feet and faces.
