On Saturday October 6, the ''1st SGS Family & Pets Festival” was completed successfully at the area of Marina Floisvos.

This big celebration for our furry friends was organized by Save a Greek Stray, in collaboration with Panik Records.

Families, couples, people of all ages, all showed up at our festival along their four-legged friends and joined this big party in order to celebrate, all together, our love for animals. They also helped up to spread the message of how important -but also how rewarding it is- to be the voice of those who cannot speak for themselves.

From 17:00 till 20:00 people were being informed about Save a Greek Stray’s actions and were enjoying the live Music of 89.2 radio station as well as Melina’s Kokoris report, who was live broadcasting the event.

Kids had the opportunity to actively engage in multiple creative activities such as face painting ,arts and crafts and even pottery making! Thus, creating their very own clay pot, which were then able to take home. Those fun activities were provided by PARTIES2b Of Eirini Kallogera.

At the same time, People attending the event, could enjoy street food prepared by TGIF Fridays, Tamarillo, Delifrance Hellas, MrBio&MrsVegan, Healthy Harmony Piraeus, cold Fix Bear Hellas, Amita Motion and Josecurvo Tequila. They also had the opportunity to taste the delicious salty flavored Tsakiris chips.

Our major sponsor for the festival was ''The Metropolitan College of Greece”, which informed our young audience about the educational programs they offer.

Black and Decker was also our official sponsor, that introduced us to the new brooms of their special “pet” line, that magically clear up all the hair and remaining food of our furry friends.

Bayer Animal Health also spread out calendars and informational brochures regarding their products which help us protect our pets from parasites and leishmaniasis.

Candia strom, with their exceptional BODYFIX mattresses- which are handmade throughout every stage of production- proved once again, that nature provides the best material.

What is more, Tamarillo, provided us with fresh fruit salads, in order to make us love rare fruits and fresh vegetables. We can safely say they reached their goal.

Pawbox, loves everything natural, handmade and organic. We got Pawboxes, which are a combination of pet treats, toys and accessories for our cats and dogs. They loved it!

“Aroma Selena” also joined us, by introducing us to their natural essential oils and senses, that are 100% pure and made from organic ingredients.

Our furry friends, had the chance to be groomed by “Aussie Pet Mobile”, which offers their pet grooming services in specially configured Mercedes Vans, right outside your house.

They also had the opportunity to taste “KYOΝ” Pet treats. Yum!

Meanwhile, “Save a Greek Stray’s” bazaar was taking place. With every purchase from our Bazaar you contributed to our organization’s cause, since all the proceeds from the Bazaar products, will be used to cover our shelter’s needs. Thank you for helping us help our little furry friends and materialize our vision!

After 20:00 “Giorgos Aggelopoulos”, who was also the host of the night, went on stage.

He gave a warm welcome to all out guests, informed them about “Save a Greek Stray’s” actions and last but not least, welcomed all the artist, who were present at the event and kept us entertained throughout the night! Thanks to their concert, we all sang and had fun together.
