MONTANA

MONTANA

He is incredibly sweet and the sweetest thing about him was always that little hesitation he had every time he'd first see you.

He wagged his tail non stop, he was so happy to have human presence around, that he did not stop smiling and shaking back and forth. It seemed that his heart wanted to run towards you and meet you, but at first he had a hesitation, as if he was not sure that it was allowed allowed.

Slowly, he started getting closer and closer. Today, he is a social happy boy. He still has this hesitation that is so cute about him whenever he is in an unknwon place, whenever he is in a situation he doesn't know. But his will to have company, to participate and to enjoy human presence is stronger than this hesitation.

Whenever we take the dogs out on a walk on volunteer day, we always pick him, and he is so happy to participate and be part of what's going on. It's as if his entire body is screaming OMG, HOW MUCH ARE WE HAVING HEY GUYS???

Montana and his (probably) brother, Tony, were among the smallest dogs we got from the public pound of Sparta

He is a dog that will love you very very much. The moew he hesitates the first five ten minutes to come to you, the more he will adore you after, once he realizes that you only want to be his friend.

VICTORIA

VICTORIA

Victoria came from the public pound of Sparta.

Locked in a cage, forgotten by life, with one eye, we almost overlooked her that day, as she was lying on the floor immobile, with ehr fur being the same colour as the dirt.

Along with her was also a male Griffon, David, both so malnourished as if they hadn't been fed for weeks, with their coat hiding their emaciated body and their wounds.

In a kennel nearby we also found two griffon puppies, most likely their children, living in their excrement, along with countless other puppies. Whether the puppies were born in there or not we can't know, what we do know is that we got an entire family destroyed. A family of dogs of those that people give money to buy.

Of the whole family, Victoria is the only one who from the very beginning was almost friendly and loving. He loves caresses and human contact, and is a friendly and calm dog.

DAVID

DAVID

David came from the public pound of Sparta.

Locked in a cage, forgotten by life, he was so malnourished that it was as if he had been starved for weeks, with the coat hiding his skeletal body and his wounds.

At first David did not approach us easily, and he did not trust us. Over time he began to approach, run, rejoice, come for caresses, for treats, and be cheerful and sociable, and as his coat began to grow, he began to look like a bear with whiskers.

We don't have much to say about David. She is an incredibly tender dog, very sociable and very cooperative. He's a dog made for humans, and he's one of those dogs that we're looking for a defect in, and we can't find a single one. He has no vices, he lacks nothing. He is perfect and has been ready for his forever home for a long time.

NATALIA

NATALIA

Natalia came with her two sisters and her brother from the public pound of Sparta.

These four little dogs suffered perhaps more than any other animal there. Not because they were in worse conditions than the rest, not because they were sicker than others, but because their temperament could not stand the conditions at all, not for a minute.

These dogs suffered mentally every hour and every moment, and they showed it with every movement of their bodies, with their every gaze. Injustice, terrorism and passive abuse seemed literally painted on their faces and bodies.

We thought they were puppies, but they are not. They are four adult puppies, tiny and young, probably siblings, and have the sensitivity and kindness of a toddler.

Of the four, Natalia and the boy were from the beginning the most courageous. Natalia was the first of the four who approached us, but she smelled, she trusted us. After that, the rest followed.

Since February 2023 she has been participating in our program at the women's open prison of Thebes. There she is hosted and with the help of the trainer she learns to live in a home, to cooperate with people, to communicate with other dogs and cats, and is being prepared for her forever home. The training program she follows there has helped her a lot, as it has helped many other dogs like her in the past, who need exclusivity and enough time to open up.

WINNIE

WINNIE

You just can't have enough of puppies, and especially when they're like Winnie you can't have enough no matter how much time you spend with them.

Our boy was found in the winter, under a car, when he was the size of a kitten basically. From that day until today, nothing has changed at all besides his size.

He is an incredibly playful baby, who wants to play with you, not alone. As long as you throw the ball, he will run to catch it, as long as you pull the toy, he will pull from the other side, if you run he will follow you, if you call him to come, if you sit down he will come for caresses and he will lie down on his back and surrender.

He is happy, social, and brilliant. Truly brilliant, capable and ready to learn everything. And he is looking for his forever home.
