Old dogs have a wisdom of their own. Regardless of what character they had in their youth, or what life they have lived up to the moment they come into your hands, the elderly dog you know is in one way or another wise.
One such dog is Bob.
He has a stoicism, a maturity, and a deep gaze, as if you can read stories he has lived and lessons he has learned in his eyes.
Bob came to us for leishmaniasis treatment and rehabilitation.
A dog that has spent neatry all his life on the streets, and now, in the most tender phase of his life, the phase where he needs a bit of comfort, a bit more care, and some enjoyment, it is very difficult for us to leave him back on the street, even though we know he will live safely and be fed.
Seeing his white face enjoying the tranquility and the magic every time we take him with us to the office, it is inconceivable for us to let him spend the last years of his life in the cold of winter and the heat of summer.Bob has completed his treatment and is doing well.
He is a dog of mild tones and gentle character.
He enjoys walking on a leash, follows faithfully, and does not pull, without needing long walks to release energy. He is very clean, goes to the bathroom on his walks, and if he is in the office and needs to go out, he goes to the door and asks to be let out.
