There are some dogs like her that look like they're made of ether. They are flying instead of walking, as if they are born for an airy freedom, as if they are clouds. Camellia is something like honey made of air, and as she circulates around us, we sit and gaze at her for hours. She's gorgeous. And in her glossy coat, in her amazing ears and in her wet eyes, a harsh and tragic past is barely visible, as if it passed her by without touching her. She came from the public pound house of Sparta, with starvation and nothing else. She was and is very healthy, and now she has begun to approach her normal weight. She is ready for her forever home.
