Pete came to us on a court order, along with many other dogs.

He was at first very, very fearful, he did not approach anyone, and we could not approach him.

In time he adapted to life in the shelter. He gets along fine with the other dogs, from the beginning, and now he has learned to love the people he sees every day, jumping on them for caresses and trusting them.

When he is alone with people he does not know, he avoids them as much as he can. When he has people close to him that he knows and trusts, he hides in their arms, and uses them as a shield to feel safe, and lets you get closer, to see for yourself waht a tender a dog he is.
