Guy notices everything. He observes carefully and thoroughly. Noise does not bother him. He is fully present in whatever you are doing together. He learns quickly, loves deeply, and experiences every moment with enthusiasm. He is very young, social, affectionate, playful, and deaf.

We don’t know whether he was born deaf or lost his hearing later in life. What we do know is that his deafness does not define him and does not limit him in any way. It even took us some time to be certain, because it simply doesn’t show. Guy is extremely communicative, pays close attention, and reads people in a way that many hearing dogs do not. As an added bonus, he is completely focused on you. He isn’t distracted by sounds and doesn’t get stressed by noise. He learns through visual cues, hand signals, touch, and consistency. And he learns very fast.

He loves affection, play, contact, and being involved with the people around him. When he gets excited, he will run, celebrate, come close, and roll onto his back for belly rubs. When playtime ends, he settles as well, clearly understanding what is expected of him. He is an excellent student.

Guy is not a dog for a shelter. He is ready for a home. He does not need any special treatment despite being deaf. In fact, he lacks nothing at all. Or rather, to be precise, the only thing he is missing is his person.
