The only place where she feels comfortable is the sea. We took her for a walk down to the beach one day, and she walked into the water on her own, as if it were the most obvious thing she could do. The next time we had to wear a swimsuit, because he wanted to get in to swim.

Tosca is a dog that has not been socialized enough and is afraid. She is afraid of cars, she is afraid of people she does not know, she is afraid of places she is not familiar with, he is afraid of anything with which she has not been in contact.

When she is in the water she is another dog. She does not play or splash with the waters, do not imagine a dog like the one we see on TV ads. She just swims. And when she swims it's probably the only moment when Tosca seems to be in perfect harmony with her body. She is calm, and swims calmly and slowly, as if she is where she belongs.

There are not many homes that are ideal for Tosca, but there are certainly some, and no it is not necessary that they are close to the sea.

They are homes that are ideally not located in a densely populated area nor near a very main road. Homes where very small children do not live. Homes where there is patience. A lot of patience, not because Tosca will bother a lot, but because she won't bother at all, in fact, she'll probably be there but she won't, she'll be invisible.

It will take her long to look comfortable and it will take her a long time to look happy, but with patience and with proper handling, at some point her body and her mind will relax, as they relax when she is in the water.

The "training" of such dogs is like this is anyway, like the sea water in the days of the heatwave, which is completely still, and does not push you, does not rush you, does not seem to lead you somewhere with violence, just keeps you on the surface, and while you think that you are floating on your own, it essentially leads you gently and slowly to where it wants.
